Mr. Freeman co-founded IT Resources (ITR) in April 1996 and currently serves as CEO. Besides his role as the leader of the senior management team, he works with key clients and strategic partners. Before starting ITR, Mr. Freeman worked with several multinationals in Europe, China and Japan in a variety of positions, from marketing to controlling, strategic planning to investment banking. His experience includes positions at Deutsche Bank, UBS, Daimler-Benz and Hewlett Packard. In his earlier years at ITR, Mr. Freeman planned and built up ITR's technical core competencies in voice and data networking, structured cabling and core application support. Parallel to this, he set up a continuously expanding multinational client base, realizing a turnover of US$1m in ITR’s first year. In 2000, Mr. Freeman continued the company's process of diversification by establishing IT Broadband (ITBN), which is now one of China's few privately owned nationwide Internet Service Providers. IT Broadband was granted a patent in early 2003 for its proprietary broadband access concept and exists as separate entity within the IT Group.
Mr. Freeman is a US national and holds an MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, where he wrote his master's thesis on human relations management and vertical cooperation in Japanese keiretsu. He is fluent in English, German, French and Mandarin.
Ms. Gong joined ITR as Marketing Director in July 2002. In that position, she spearheaded ITR's successful effort to be recognized as a Top Five Enterprise IT Solutions Expert by China's Ministry of Information Industry. She also expanded ITR's reputation throughout China via extensive advertising and other promotional campaigns. Subsequently, in 2003, Ms. Gong served as ITR's Operations Manager in Shanghai, leading in ITR's 350% sales growth in the East China region during that year. Before joining ITR, Ms. Gong was the Marketing Director for a home textile manufacturer starting in 1997. Under her supervision of the company's advertising and other promotional activities, their products went from a no-name to top 3 in brand recognition nationwide. Sales went from zero to US$6 million. Prior to that, Ms. Gong has served as a Project Manager at IDG (International Data Group) for one year in 1996.
Ms. Gong is a Chinese national and is a graduate of Beijing Language and Culture University.
Mr. Mott joined ITR in September 2001 from the French investment bank Société Générale, where he served in Tokyo as Vice President in Corporate Derivatives. In Tokyo, his focus was twofold: 1) use of equity derivatives in the management and disposal of corporate cross-shareholdings and 2) implementation of global employee stock option plans (ESOPs) for major Japanese companies, including Nissan Motor. Before his transfer to Tokyo, Mr. Mott was an Associate in Société Générale’s Corporate Finance department in Hong Kong. There he specialized in equity offerings, convertible debt issues, and OTC derivatives in Greater China, Korea, Singapore and Thailand.
Mr. Mott is a US national and holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University. He speaks English, French and Mandarin.
Cathy Li joined ITR in September 1997. She previously worked in Westinghouse Electric China as the HR assistant. In Westinghouse China, she was responsible for overall HR functions, including recruiting, compensation and benefits and training. From 1997 to 2004, Cathy Li worked as ITR's COO. Her job involved HR and administrative management, public relations, business development, and large accounts management. During this period, ITR had grown from 8 to 180 employees. Cathy took over as ITR's HR Director in May 2005.
Cathy Li is a Chinese national, and graduated from Beijing Language University.
Ms. Zhang joined ITR in November 1998 as Director of Engineering. Ms. Zhang has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and IT standardization, having worked as a lead engineer and instructor at Beijing's Telecom Technology Research Institute since 1978. There she was responsible for the planning, design and testing of major sections of Beijing’s public telephone network. At the institute she also served as instructor, and many senior engineers in the Beijing’s telecom industry are her former students. More recently, prior to joining ITR, Ms. Zhang served as the Director of Engineering for Siemens' earliest major dealer in China for several years.
Ms. Zhang is a Chinese national and graduated from Guangxi University in 1978 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Wireless Technology.
Mr. Abdishev joined ITR in 2002 and currently oversees ITR's Professional Services Department. Mr. Abdishev has 15 years of professional experience in the USA and Eastern Europe, including over 10 years experience in a management capacity.
Mr. Abdishev is a Bulgarian national. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Zhejiang University in China. He speaks fluent English, Chinese, Russian and Bulgarian.
Shirley Zuo joined ITR in February 2006 as Business Development Manager in charge of East China region. She built up the Shanghai Business Development team. She was promoted to Shanghai Operations Manager in December 2006. Before ITR, she worked over 7 years in business development, with speciality in retail and real estate industry.
Shirley Zuo is a Chinese national. She speaks fluent Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
Rosanna Sun joined ITR in March 2007 as Assistant to COO and promoted into Beijing Operations Manager at the end of 2007. Prior to joining ITR, she gathered many years of exerience in Banking industry and as Branch manager of a multinational company.
Rosanna Sun is a Chinese national. She speaks fluent Mandarin and English.
Mr. Shaben joined ITR as Key Account Manager in March of 2006. Promoted to Solution Sales Manager in 2006. Promoted to Enterprise Team Director in 2007, Mr. Shaben works closely together with ITR’s MNC account teams and key accounts across China, building strong relationships, and actualizing strategies to ensure positive growth for ITR, its clients and its partners. Mr. Shaben previously founded Media Inform Solutions, a Canadian telecommunication consultancy firm in 2001, and served as Managing Director for 5 years, growing the business to a $5M annual portfolio in enterprise business. In the 10 years prior, Gary developed and managed enterprise accounts for leading companies such as AT&T Canada, Canon and IKON, establishing firm track records of increased revenues, business growth, client retention and exceeded annual targets.
Gary Shaben, a Canadian national, has been based in China since 2004, where he pursues his EMBA and speaks English, French and some Mandarin.
Barbara has over 10 years experience in sales, including 8 years in the IT (voice and data) industry. She has worked for Compaq (HP) and Siemens in their respective Global Account Teams before joining ITR for the first time 5 years ago. Ms. Bai holds the position of Hospitality Sales Team Manager since this year.
